Joyned, formerly known as Gamitee, has secured $4 million in seed funding to further develop its e-commerce platform, which empowers merchants to take control of social engagement.

CEO Jonathan Abraham revealed that while “Gamitee” means “joined” in Hebrew, the Jerusalem-based SaaS company opted for “Joyned” to emphasize its mission of bringing joy to customers’ experiences.

The funding round was led by notable investors, including Arthur Stark, former president of Bed Bath & Beyond, Yair Goldfinger, founder of Dotomi and ICQ, and Rafael Ashkenazi, managing director and executive chairman at Hard Rock Digital.

Abraham expressed gratitude for the support from these industry veterans, highlighting Stark’s expertise in retail and Goldfinger’s pioneering work in messaging apps. With Ashkenazi’s guidance, Joyned aims to expand its presence in the U.S. market and solidify its brand identity.

Rather than merely enhancing e-commerce companies’ social media advertising efforts, Joyned revolutionizes the shopping experience by offering a collaborative platform directly on retailers’ websites. CEO Jonathan Abraham explains that Joyned enables shoppers to invite friends to browse products together without leaving the retailer’s site, eliminating the need to rely on external social media platforms.

Abraham’s inspiration for the company stemmed from his own wedding planning experience four years ago. Amidst the overwhelming task of selecting a suit, he envisioned a solution where users could seamlessly co-browse and make decisions together. Partnering with co-founder Michael Levinson, they embarked on developing Joyned.

gamitee Leveraging the company’s technology, merchants can effortlessly integrate a “shop with me” button into their websites using JavaScript. This plug-and-play solution, compatible with platforms like Shopify, enables shoppers to create shared shopping carts, mood boards, and communicate with merchants—all within the retailer’s website interface.

gamitee also known as SZRHND Hü, and I’m a proud native of San Francisco. In the vibrant SoMa District, you’ll find me at the helm of the YOÜ by Hü Gallery, a space where art and barbering converge. This venture holds deep personal significance for me, as it allows me to honor my family’s legacy—my late grandfather, a barber himself, plied his trade on the very same street where the gallery stands today.

gamitee and uplift our community and to provide a sanctuary for human connection amidst the hustle and bustle of our increasingly digital world. Through our curated selection of art and our meticulously crafted barber services, we strive to offer an experience that is both enriching and rejuvenating.

Beyond my work at the gallery, I’m also a devoted cyclist and a father. My passion for cycling was ignited in 2012 when I acquired my first track bike, and it has since blossomed into a full-fledged love affair with road cycling. Thanks to the support and camaraderie of friends like ILE’s Jordan Yee and the expertise of Robert Gee, a renowned bike mechanic, I’ve found solace and exhilaration in exploring the city’s streets and soaking in its breathtaking vistas.

For me, cycling isn’t just about physical exercise—it’s a form of meditation, a means of connecting with both myself and the world around me. Whether I’m conquering challenging climbs or reveling in the thrill of descending, each pedal stroke brings me closer to a state of balance and inner peace.

As I continue on my journey as a gallery owner, barber, cyclist, and father, I am grateful for the opportunities to enrich the lives of others and to leave a positive impact on my beloved city of San Francisco.
